Sleeping In His Own Room and Patterns

Two nights ago, we decided it was time. Time for Jonas to sleep in his own room, alone. For the longest time we have been either sleeping in the same room as Jonas, or right where he can see us. Two nights ago, we moved upstairs to our room. It's great. The first night he slept till 6 am and last night we made it all the way till 9:30 am! Sweetness!

Jonas always slept through the night, beginning at 1.5-2 months old. Maybe even earlier. This past week, he decided that he was going to stay up and wait for Daddy. Daddy gets home from work at approx. 11:30pm. For 4 or 5 nights, he's been going to sleep at 2 am or so, and still waking at 8-8:30 am. Well finally last night, he went back to sleeping from 9:30pm till 9:30 am. It's great, hope this continues.

Our New Blog!

We are a family of 3. Charles (Daddy) age 22, KristaAnne (Mommy) age 25 and Jonas (Baby) age 4.5 months. We live in Vermont, in the Winooski area. We just moved into our very first apartment as a family. Every day is a fun , and exciting adventure. I will try to update this page as often as possible. Below is a quick catch up of Jonas:

Born May 29th 2008 , weighing 8 lbs 6.4 ounces and 20 inches long
May 31st 2008, discharged from hospital weighing 8 lbs 6 ounces

Just one week later, went in for a sheduled appointment to determine treatment for a "minor club foot" weighing 9 lbs 6 ounces.

Jonas began treatment for his club foot at 2.5 weeks old. It began with a series of casts. His casts were changed once a week for 4 weeks. With each cast change they turned his foot a few degrees. Then he needed a tendotomy. This is where they clip the achilles tendon so that it will grow in length to allow the foot to have the range of motion that most people have in their feet.

He then had a cast for 3 weeks and now wears his "shoes and bar" at first it was 23 hours a day for 3 months. He returns to his "foot doctor" on October 30th for a check up , and the ok that he only needs to wear his shoes at night.

At his 6 week appointment he wasn't able to be weighed due to his cast. The next time he was weighed he weighed 12 lbs 14 ounces and was 22.5 inches. He went October 8th for his 4 month well child check-up, weighing in at 15 lbs 8 ounces and was 25 and 1/4 inches.

That about sums it all up for now. We will be sure to post again soon.
